Hamas Launches Rockets Against Israel for the First Time in Months

Palestinian Jihadi group Hamas on Sunday said that it had fired several rocket attacks on Tel Aviv, one of the biggest cities in Israel. This is Hama’s first attack against Israel in Months, apparently meant to be a warning as Benjamin Netanyahu’s armed forces advance against the group’s remaining stronghold in Gaza. According to media reports, air sirens sounded in Tel Aviv and across the middle territories of Israel. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said that Hamas fired at least eight rockets from the city of Rafah. Since Israel’s massive military offensive in Gaza started eight months ago, Hamas has found it hard to fire rockets against the country. Israel was able to nullify most of the rockets in the Sunday attack. There were however reports that two women suffered minor injuries while rushing to a bomb shelter. A few flights from and into the Ben Gurion airport were either delayed or canceled. In a statement on its Telegram account, Hamas’ military wing that it launched the rockets in response to Israel massacring Palestinian civilians. Israel conducted airstrikes in Rafah on Sunday, killing at least five civilians, according to emergency workers. Responding on X after the Hamas rocket attacks, Israel’s far-right national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said that it is time for the country to invade Rafah with the full might of its military. Another member of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, Benny Gantz said that the rocket attacks from Rafah are proof that the Israeli armed forces must conduct operations wherever Hamas is. There have been reports that Hamas had managed to abduct an IDF soldier. The Israeli government however rubbished those claims. On Saturday, Hamas published a video that appeared to depict its fighters dragging an unconscious Israeli soldier through one of their tunnels. Israeli Military Despite a ruling by the  International Court of Justice, Israel has gone ahead with a military operation in Rafah. In the ruling, the ICJ ordered Israel to halt the planned offensive, stating that it would make worse an already pathetic humanitarian crisis that the Palestinians are having to endure. Almost one year since the Israeli offensive in Gaza began, Rafah remains the only place that has not seen ground fighting between the opposing sides. Many Palestinians had sought shelter there when Israel began its war. Defying the ICJ and pressure from the international community, Israel has repeatedly said that a ground military campaign in Rafah is vital in its efforts to completely defeat Hamas. Israel believes that the militant group’s top leadership and four armed battalions are seeking shelter in Rafah. According to Israel, the remaining Hamas fighters in Rafah are using Israeli hostages as their human shields. On October 7, Hamas launched a surprise attack in Gaza. An estimated 1200 people lost their lives. Hamas took 250 Israeli civilians as hostages. Israel responded with a massive military attack in Gaza, where over 3,6000 people, most of them civilians, have been killed. Attempts at ending the war, or at least getting a truce between Israel and Hamas, have all failed. The last round of talks in Qatar with the United States acting as a mediator, ended after Israel launched their operation in Rafah. Israeli media reported that US officials on Friday met Qatari and Israeli mediators in Paris, in an attempt to get the negotiations back on track. Hamas has however denied these reports, saying that a new date for discussions has not yet been decided.

Atheists in Kenya Insist on Inclusion at Parliament’s Prayer Gathering

The Atheists society in Kenya, led by their chairperson, Harrison Mumia, requested to be invited to the upcoming annual national breakfast.  Earlier on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, Moses Wetangula, the Speaker of the National Assembly, shared key info about the occasion. He said the event is set for Safari Park on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Wetangula also announced the theme for this year, calling it “hope.” He stressed that the prayer gathering is for everyone, regardless of their religious affiliation, and it will focus on the importance of coming together as a nation. The Annual National Breakfast Prayer will be led by President Ruto, who has just concluded his U.S. visit. Yet, the Atheists Society of Kenya sensed they were excluded in this national affair. They chose to pen a letter to Samuel Chepkonga, the Ainabkoi MP and Chairperson of the Prayer Breakfast Group, seeking participation in the event. In their communication through a letter, they stated their primary objective as bifold: to bolster the divide between state affairs and religious institutions. They stressed their dedication to offering support to those who share their views, letting them know they’re not alone in a country where religion is widespread. Harrison Mumia emphasized that they should be part of the prayer gathering since they are one of the taxpayers in the nation.   The event is funded by taxpayers’ money. Mumia mentioned that they wouldn’t go if it was a church gathering. He stressed that the prayer breakfast must solely aim to bring Kenyans together, including those who don’t believe in God. A photo of a past National Prayer Day Mumia warned that if Chepkonga and his team don’t include them, they’ll take legal steps. They declared they would take legal actions, alleging that the government is unfairly using taxpayers’ money to benefit a privileged few, leaving out atheists. He stressed the importance of their attendance at the event, despite their decision not to pray.  Chepkonga and his group of fellow atheists are expecting to hear back from the government by next week. The Atheists in Kenya Society was founded on February 17, 2016 in Nairobi, Kenya. Its headquarters are in Summit House, Nairobi with Harrison Mumia acting as the founder and president. The society has faced a lot of challenges since its establishment. At one time, Mumia reached out to Kenyans, asking for their help in covering his 1800 rent. He underlined the need for financial resources for their office operations to proceed smoothly. However, Kenyans ridiculed him and advised the society to seek God’s guidance.

The UK and the US to Back Israel Against ICJ Ruling

After initially saying they are opposed to Israel’s continued offensive in Rafah, the United States and the United Kingdom now seem to have changed their stance. The two world powers have said they will oppose the International Court of Justice’s order asking Israel to quit its military operation in Rafah immediately. Initially, the US and the UK had said they would not back Israel on its plan to launch a major ground military offensive in Rafah unless there was an effective plan to shield civilians and prevent casualties. But over time, Israel seems to have convinced its two main allies to change their definition of what constitutes a major military operation. Last week, the UK deputy for foreign affairs, Andrew Mitchell told the country’s parliament that Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s government would only support a military campaign in Rafah if it meets all the international humanitarian laws. Later that week, the deputy foreign secretary informed the House Business Committee that the significant military operation had not yet begun. Despite his claims, an estimated 800,000 people have already vacated the area. This number includes some 400,000 Palestinians that the Israeli armed forces had warned to vacate. Asked about the huge number of people who have already escaped the Israeli offensive in Rafah, Mitchell said that the UK government was trying to help them with aid. Pressed on whether Israel had broken any International Humanitarian Laws in the offensive, he claimed that the fact 800,000 people have chosen to leave would mean that the UK and the US would not change their assessment of the situation on the ground. Referencing the ruling made by the ICJ, Labor MP Andy McDonald asked the Deputy Secretary what choice the fleeing Palestinians were making to abandon their home and whether they fled out of their own free will. Tents Housing Palestinian Refugees To this, the government official quipped that the citizens of Rafah left their homes as a “result of the circumstances.” Queried on whether he believes Israel has the intent to faithfully follow international humanitarian laws, Mitchell said that what he believes does not matter. He added that what is important is the legal process behind the situation. Jake Sullivan, the United States national security adviser, took a different approach to explain the changed stance on Israel’s offensive against Palestinians. Briefing the press on Wednesday, the US official said that Israeli officials had briefed him on refinements on the Rafah offensive. Sullivan said that the improved plan would help Israel achieve its objectives while trying to avoid civilian casualties. The White House official added that there was no foolproof formula to decide which plan for an offensive was more acceptable. He also refused to comment on the living conditions the fleeing Palestinians are currently having to endure. David Cameron, the UK Foreign Secretary said that while he has seen some progress in humanitarian relief efforts, he is putting pressure on Israel to improve the situation of the Palestinian refugees. Israel claims that the offensive in Rafah will annihilate the remaining Hamas fighting units. According to Israeli officials, only four remain since their war in Gaza started.

Kenyan Content Creators Protest KFCB’s New Guidelines

Famous content creators Njugush, YY Comedian, Mammitto, Mulamwah, Natalie Tewa, Jacky Vick alias Awinja and Abel Mutua have led Kenyan content creators to protest the new Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) guidelines. KFCB issued new rules and requested the Kenyan content creators to comply with them within 14 days, failure to which they will face the law. Kenyan Content creators had previously protested digital tax in the previous financial year. In a letter written to Eunice Mammitto, KFCB accused her of not acquiring the requisite filming licenses from the board. The board further reminded her that the section 4 of the act requires all content creators to have filming licenses. Additionally, the board reminded her that section 12 states that all films of classes distributed within Kenya must be examined by the board and a certificate of approval provided to them. Mammito lamented the board for making their filming harder. Jacky Vike said that the board decided to start regulating them the moment they experienced international recognition, increased job creation and positive content creation. She blamed the body for staying dormant only for them to arise now. Jacky also stated that KFCB did not consider to have a sit with the content creators implying the evil nature of their plans. Abel Mutua, popularly known as Mkurugenzi, was not left behind in this online protest. Mkurugenzi reacted by tagging KFCB through his posts and saying that he is shocked to receive such guidelines. Eddie Butita in the U.S. Njugush, who is also a You Tuber, said that sending the video to the bard may be challenging especially if it is a trending story. He asked KFCB to clarify whether they are seeking more money or gagging. KFCB had requested that once a person shoots a video clip, he should send it to them first for them to approve it. Previously, YouTube content creators used YouTube own checks to approve content. KFCB new rules came barely a year after President Ruto revealed that some content creators like Eddie Butita and Njugush earn more than him. This happened during the Kenya National Drama Festival State Concert at State House. The two comedians, who were present at the function, encouraged young creators to be creative and trust the process. Ruto asked Kenyans not to look down upon content creators as they earn a lot of money. Eddie Butita earned himself a lot of respect from the president. On the President’s visit to the U.S, Butita accompanied him as a part of the entertainment industry team. Butita’s main aim was to come up with ways on how to improve the entertainment sector.

Multitudes are Seeking Refuge as Armed Militias Assault Al-Fashir in Sudan

Rapid Support Forces (RSF) raided a camp in the Sudanese City of Al-Fashir, leading to lots of people running away from their homes. RFS are struggling to grab the final army stronghold in the Western Darfur Region. On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, RFS soldiers launched an attack on the Vast Abu Shouk Camp. This attack occurred barely a year into Sudan’s war and it killed an unknown number of people, at the same time wounding at least 13 people. 60% of more than the 100,000 residents who reside in the area fled on Thursday. This information was provided by the Coordinating Committee for Refugees and Displaced People, which manages camps in the area. Locals stated that fighting continued in all other parts of Al- Fashir. Early last year, RFS and its allies attacked four other Darfur State Capitals. They were accused of ethnic driven killings of non-Arabs groups and other abuse claims in West Darfur- accusations which they later dismissed. Both the RSF and the army have made no comment on the latest attack in Al-Fashir, a historic core of power. They both have accused each other of the attack. Alice Wairimu Nderitu, the U.N special adviser on the prevention of genocide, stated that there was an increased risk of genocide. Wairimu added that there were allegations that genocide is already taking place. She disclosed this information on Tuesday, stating that residents of Al-Fashir and other parts of Darfur were the targets due to their identity and skin colour. A photo of two children with their mother walking to look for shelter Abu Shouk is the habitat of survivors of Darfur’s violence which occurred two decades ago. The armed factions, RSF precursors, fought with the Sudanese army and were suspected of genocide. Sudan has experienced a lot of violence for a number of years leading to people living in camps for protection. In April 2023, a war broke between RSF and the army in Khartoum, the capital city of Sudan. It led to more than half a million people moving to Al-Fashir in an attempt to escape the war. Since May 10, 2024, a minimum of 85 people have passed on at the only operating medical center in the south of Al-Fashir, according to the medical charity Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). MSF is known for its great support to countries experiencing wars, especially in the ongoing Gaza war. Residents and MSF say that there is a likelihood that the total number of victims is much larger as thousands of residents affected by the fights in the north, east and south are unable to reach healthcare providers. RSF blamed the army for executing large air scales, using human barricades and damaging Al-Fashir’s power station. Earlier in a statement issued by the security council of the United Nations, RSF and the army were requested to terminate the reinforcement of armed forces and take necessary measures to alleviate the situation. They were also asked to abide by the obligations in the international humanitarian law. The RSF attack comes at a time when the world is experiencing a never ending conflict between Israel and Palestine in Gaza, which has caused loss of a lot of lives. Gaza conflict has caused a lot of disagreements among countries with Kenya not left behind. President Ruto experienced a lot of protest from leaders when he wanted some Kenyan police officers to assist in the fighting of the war. In his recent visit to U.S., Kenyans who are reside in U.S. also protested the idea of deploying officers to Haiti. The council members also requested for an immediate termination of the conflicts as a way of achieving permanent cessation of violence. They urged all Sudanese to abstain from all differences that can lead to conflict and instability and instead support efforts for a long-term reconciliation.

Manchester United Will Fire Eric Ten Hag After FA Cup Final

Manchester United have decided to part ways with Manager Eric Ten Hag regardless of the outcome of the FA Cup final against rivals Manchester City. Suppose the club does decide to fire the Dutch tactician, this will be the most momentous decision that minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe will have taken since he assumed responsibility for operations at the English giants. This decision will be similar to the one the club took in 2016 by parting with Louis Van Gaal, despite the coach leading the team to winning the FA Cup that season. And now, reports in the English media claim that even lifting the trophy against their crosstown rivals will not be enough to save Ten Hag’s job. This will be a significant move for Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his partners since his company Ineos agreed to purchase a minority stake from the much-reviled Glazer brothers. Manchester United appointed Eric Ten Hag two years ago. Reports say that the club has been forced to make this decision after a torrid season that saw the club finish eighth in the just-concluded league season. This will be Manchester United’s lowest finish in a season since 1990. Ten Hag joined Manchester United with his reputation high after his exploits with Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam. However, the team has struggled this season, with many fans losing faith in him. Should United beat the odds and triumph against the Manchester City juggernaut, they will sneak their way into Europe next season. However, they will have to do so with a new man in the dugout, with Ten Hag’s fate already sealed. Ten Hag has already intimated that he had met with Sir Jim to review the disastrous season. However, it seems that the minority owner was not convinced by whatever reasons were laid out. The manager has had to deal with a slew of injuries to important players throughout the season. Stars like defender Lisandro Martinez, Left-back Tyrell Malacia, and the outgoing Raphael Varane have missed huge chunks of the games due to various injuries. In the past, the manager has expressed his frustration at the club’s medical team for not managing player injuries better. The team had to poach Gary O’Driscoll from Arsenal to address the issue. Eric Ten Hag Star striker Marcus Rashford meanwhile, has had an alarming dip in off, coupled with off-field disciplinary issues. Ten Hag also missed out on Harry Kane, his top striker target. He instead had to settle for young striker Rasmus Hojlund. However, the striker has struggled for form. Ten Hag has also had to contend with criticism leveled at him for some of the signings he has made since joining Manchester United. Anthony, who joined from Ajax for a reported 70 million pounds has struggled for form. Mason Mount, signed from Chelsea, is yet to justify the fee he was signed for. Meanwhile, Casemiro who was the team’s rock in the midfield one season ago after joining from Real Madrid, has struggled for form in the last season. Candidates Who Could Replace Ten Hag at Manchester United Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team will now start looking for a suitable candidate to replace the outgoing Dutchman. Reports say that they are looking at Thomas Tuchel, who parted ways with Bayern Munich recently. The club is also considering Mauricio Pochettino, who was recently fired by Chelsea. Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna, Brentford tactician Thomas Frank, and England Manager Gareth Southgate are also in the frame. Tuchel is at the top of the list at the moment. The club has also reportedly held tentative talks with McKenna, whose stock is high after leading Ipswich Town to promotion. Chelsea are also in the race for McKenna’s signature. In addition to his team finishing eighth in the league, Eric Ten Hag also had to deal with the indignity of Manchester United finishing last in their Champions League group. He did lead his charges to an electrifying 4-3 win against Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals, but such good results have been too far in between.

Pastor Kanyari Breaks Down on TikTok Live as he Begs Kenyans for Forgiveness

Pastor Kanyari, who recently received condoms in a church, has decided to address the issue. He opened up to Kenyans on TikTok, seeking their forgiveness. He also stood by the female TikToker and urged Kenyans to forgive her too. Kanyari had earlier received condoms, pant liners and petroleum jelly as gifts from one of his fans in a church service. This raised a lot of concerns among Kenyans and TikTokers, many condemning him for disrespecting the altar. He said that he suffered from hypertension and insomnia because of the negative comments from disgusted Kenyans on social media. Pastor Kanyari cried and expressed sorrow during his live tiktok. He stated that he felt sorry for entertaining a woman who gave him condoms in a church. He continued to justify his mistakes pleading for forgiveness. On his TikTok Live, where he was singing the unastahili kuabudiwa worship song, Kanyari remorsefully cried while wiping his tears and sweat, showing he was genuinely sorry for what occurred. He promised that such a thing would never repeat. “What can I do my God?” He cried. He mentioned that he has cars and land outside, but is feeling pressured. He said it was bedtime but couldn’t sleep, still under pressure. He declared he wouldn’t sleep, stating he will kneel down as a way of being humble to God. Kanyari acknowledged that Faith M Peters, the TikToker who gifted him, was wrong and gave an example of a Bible story whereby a harlot , who was a prostitute, was about to be killed by people when Jesus stepped in and intervened by stopping them. He went ahead and defended her saying the church is a place for everyone regardless of what they do. He claimed that Faith was not born again and that was her first time in church. Ezekiel Mutua “Mimi nimefanya kazi ya Mungu kwa zaidi ya miaka thelathini na sijawahi ona kitu kama hio. Hakuna mtu hakoseangi, msichana alikosea na sikutaka kumpiga au kumtusi kwa sababu washirika wangempiga (I have worked for God for 30 years and have never seen anything like that before. We all make mistakes, the girl made a mistake, and I didn’t want to beat or insult her because the congregation would have attacked her),” he said. Kanyari said that he was not aware of what was wrapped in the newspaper which the lady gave him. ”I am here to make this statement to say that I am sorry, I am sorry, sorry mara mia moja,” Kanyari said apologetically. Kanyari’s apology came a few hours after Ezekiel Mutua, the boss of Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK), had slammed him for his online misconduct terming it as mockery to the faith. Mutua said that Kanyari must be stopped through all possible means. He further vowed to collaborate with the relevant government ministries to address Kanyari’s trending story. As many Kenyans were against Pastor Kanyari, Thee Pluto, a Kenyan You Tuber, seemed to be defending Kanyari. Through his instagram stories, Thee Pluto, said that he does not understand why everyone is criticizing Kanyari because he received such gifts in his church. Pluto said that Kanyari had not asked for them. He emphasized that he is not saying Kanyari’s actions were good or bad but insisted that there are people who are worse than Pastor Kanyari. On the other side, Faith M Peters, said that she is not going to apologize for what she did to Pastor Kanyari. She said that she did not nothing wrong. In an interview session, Faith said that she did not damage the pastor’s reputation. She insisted that even when she was born she found a bad reputation of Pastor Kanyari.

Ebrahim Raisi Buried in Iran’s Holiest Religious Site

Ebrahim Raisi, the late president of Iran, was buried on Thursday in a tomb at the holy shrine of Iman Reza. The shrine is considered the holiest site in Muslim-majority Iran. Raisi’s burial ceremony was attended by thousands of mourners who thronged the streets to pay their last respects to the leader. The 63-year-old died on Tuesday alongside Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian when the chopper they were traveling in crashed in the country’s mountainous northern region. Six other people also lost their lives in the helicopter crash. Raisi was seen by many as a possible candidate to replace Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The 85-year-old Khamenei is the most powerful person in the country. Mohammad Mokber is the New Iranian Acting President Clad mostly in black clothing, the mourners at the funeral service beat their chests and heads as signs of their sorrow. This is a common practice in Shiite mourning traditions. As a vehicle carrying Raisi’s body moved down a street, mourners could be seen reaching out to touch it while others gently threw scarves and flowers at it seeking a blessing. The Imam Reza holy shrine, where the late president’s remains were interred, is also the resting place of Imam Ali al-reza, a 9th-century Islamic scholar. Despite this show of public mourning, some sections of the Iranian society celebrated their president’s death. Some Iranians developed a dislike for the late politician in 2022 after his security forces conducted brutal crackdowns on crowds who were protesting the Mahsa Amini. Amini died in police custody after getting arrested for allegedly not wearing the mandatory headscarf that women in the country are required to have in public. There have been images on social media showing people in the country sharing sweets after hearing that Raisi had died. Meanwhile, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei named Vice President Mohammad Mokber as acting president of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The 68-year-old has largely played his role behind the scenes until his immediate boss’s death thrust him into the limelight. Mokber will serve in the capacity for 50 days before formal elections are held in the country.

London Boy Who Succumbed to Leukemia Set to be the Catholic Church’s First Millenial Saint

Carlo Acutis, a boy from London who was born in 1991 is set to become the Roman Catholic Church’s first ever millennial saint. Carlo succumbed to Leukaemia in 2006 when he was aged 15. Since his death, he has been known as informally as ‘God’s Influencer.’ Now, the Vatican has announced that Pope Francis has approved Carlo to become a saint. The boy was born in London. His mother was Italian, while his father was half-English and half-Italian. The dad was working in the United Kingdom as a banker. According to the boy’s mother, Antonia Salazo, Carlo had a habit of offering support to any of his classmates who were going through hardships in life. He would also defend disabled children from bullies and would feed homeless people all over his hometown. His mother added that after his death a short period after being diagnosed with leukemia, Carlo said to his parents that he was happy to die without wasting even a single moment of it engaged in activities that would not be pleasing in the eyes of God. In the catholic faith, adherents are told to pray to dead loved ones whom they believe are in heaven. If they pray to a dead person and they get answered with a miracle, then the dead person can begin the process of becoming a saint. The first step in this process is beatification. After beatification, the deceased person is given the title of ‘Blessed.’ Acutis became ‘Blessed’ in the year 2020 after the Vatican said that it was satisfied that he had saved another boy’s life through a miracle. Statue of Carlo Acutis According to claims by the Vatican, Acutis intervened from heaven in 2013 and cured a Brazilian boy who had been suffering from a rare ailment in his pancreas. After this apparent heavenly miracle, Acutis was beatified in the town of Assisi. Assisi is the hometown of St Francis of Assisi, who is said to have dedicated his life to the care of the poor. To become a saint, there has to be a second miracle. According to the Vatican, Acutis’ second miracle occurred in 2022. In the miracle, according to claims by Catholic officials, a 21-year-old girl from Costa Rica recovered from a severe brain injury after an accident. According to reports, the injured woman by the name of Valeria Valverde underwent an emergency brain operation to reduce pressure after a cycling accident. The doctors told her family that she was in a critical condition, prompting her mother to go pray at Acutis’ tomb. According to the Catholic Church, that same day, the woman in a critical condition managed to breathe on her without assistance from machines. She later was able to start speaking again and also regained the use of her upper limbs. Doctors conducted brain scans, which showed the swelling in her brain had disappeared miraculously. Ten days later, the completely healed woman was discharged from the hospital. After the announcement, the Catholic faithful are now flocking to the boy’s tomb for prayers.

Epl Managers That Could Be on the Move, or Have Already Secured New Jobs

The current English Premier League Season is already over, with Manchester City lifting the league title. The only remaining contest is the FA Cup final, which will pit Manchester City against Manchester United. As such, clubs, managers, and players are already looking for changes and improvements for next season. Chelsea, for example, has already parted ways with manager Mauricio Pochettino and will be looking to appoint a new man to lead them forward. Several other managers will also be looking for new jobs. Mauricio Pochettino Despite a pretty positive conclusion to the end of Chelsea’s season, Todd Boehly and the club’s board decided to part ways with Pochettino.   Mauricio Pochettino The team lost only one of their last 14 league games, but this wasn’t considered good enough because of their stuttering form during the long campaign. They ended sixth on the league table, leading to the lovable Argentine tactician’s departure. Poch has a good reputation as a manager, and his CV has already seen him get linked to the likes of Manchester United, and clubs from the Saudi Arabia Pro league. He was also linked to the vacant Bayern Munich job, but that has been snapped up by former Burnley manager, Vincent Kompany. Muricio Pochettino is Looking for a New Club Thomas Tuchel The German tactician was brought in mid-season at Bayern Munich to replace his Compatriot Julian Nagelsmann. However, things did not go according to plan, with the Bavarian giants failing to lift the Bundesliga title for the first time since 2012. They finished a massive 18 points behind eventual champions, Bayer Leverkusen. Bayern and Tuchel decided as early as February that a parting of ways was inevitable at the end of the season. Tuchel is known as a fiery character. Despite lifting the Champions League trophy at the first time of asking while managing Chelsea, his time there ended on a sour note. His worsening relationship with the club’s management, the players, and even football officials ended with him getting sacked. While ending trophyless at a club like Bayern Munich would surely tarnish a manager’s reputation, Tuchel is still being linked to clubs such as Manchester United. The English club could make a move for him should they decide to dispense off the services of coach Eric Ten Hag, who himself is under immense pressure after a disastrous league season. Thomas Tuchel is Looking for a New Club After Leaving Bayern Munich Thomas Tuchel David Moyes  The 61-year-old Scot parted ways mutually with West Ham at the end of the season. He is one of the most experienced managers in the Premier League, and as such could be a man in demand. Moyes has already intimated that he wants to continue his career in management, saying “I want to keep involved in football…do I want to stay in management? Yes, would be the answer to that.” Moyes is yet to be linked with any club, but it is surely a matter of time before he finds himself in the dugout. David Moyes is One of the Most Experienced Managers David Moyes Roberto De Zerbi The Italian tactician has been a hit since taking over at Brighton. He plays an exciting brand of football, which has seen him linked to other clubs in the past. When Jurgen Klopp announced his departure from Liverpool, De Zerbi was one of the names mentioned as a possible successor at Anfield. That was before De Zerbi and the Brighton hierarchy had a falling out about how the club should conduct their transfer business, and the Italian coach left the club with mutual consent. He is one of the names that has been linked to the vacant manager’s job at Chelsea, and could also possibly head to Manchester United should the Red Devils decide to part ways with Eric Ten Hag. He has also been linked to Italian giants, AC Milan. Francesco Farioli Farioli is Roberto De Zerbi’s former goalkeeping coach, before joining Aalanyaspor, and then French club Nice and guiding them to a fifth-place finish in Ligue 1 in his first season. At just 35, Farioli is now considered as one of the most promising managers in Europe. He has been linked with the now vacant manager’s job at Brighton, where he could replace his former mentor. The only blot on his resume is his reputation as a defensive-minded tactician, which might fly in the face of fans who want to see their teams playing fast-paced, and attack-minded football. He has also been linked to Ajax Amsterdam, who are also in the market for a new tactician after an extremely disappointing season. Farioli has been Linked to Brighton Francesco Farioli Kieran McKenna  Mckenna led Ipswich to a second automatic promotion. The club was 12th on the table when he joined in December 2021, and the incredible upturn in fortune has made him one of the most coveted young managers in the game. The 38-year-old’s success at Ipswich has won him the League Manager’s Association Manager of the Year gong, further cementing his place as a top managerial prodigy. He has been linked with the vacant job at Chelsea, and also at his former club Manchester United, where he was an assistant for Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Soslkjaer, and Ralf Rangnick. Typically, top English clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester United do not appoint managers who do not have at least a few years of management at the top flight, but the Scot could be the one to buck that trend. He has also been linked with Brighton, and they could be a better fit for him as they have a history of signing young, but inexperienced managers. Kieran Mckenna is one of the Most Exciting Young Managers In Europe Kieran Mckenna Vincent Kompany  Vincent Kompany got Burnley Relegated last season, after an excellent 2022-23 season in which they won the championship and got promoted to the English top flight. So Sad: An ECDE Pupil Perished in Kilifi Due to Strong Winds

An Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) learner in Kaloleni, Kilifi County has succumbed to death after being hit by a flying metal panel propelled by the strong winds in the Coastal area of Kenya. Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung’aro commissioned a one-week closure of all ECDE centers to watch over the situation in the county. The sudden closure of schools in Kilifi happened at a time when learning for grades seven and eight was paralyzed all over the country. This is due to the ongoing teachers’ strike which is going on despite the president’s absence from the country, as he is on a state visit to the U.S. Five ECDE learners from Gogoraruhe Mosque ECDE School, sustained several injuries after a flying iron sheet struck them amid strong winds caused by Cyclone Ialy. The pupils were rushed to Mariakani Sub County Hospital, where the four-year-old girl tragically passed away due to her injuries during medical care. The remaining four pupils had head and limb injuries and are still receiving their treatment. Kilifi County Governor, Gideon Mung’aro, who spoke after the incident said that the school’s parking lot, vehicles, and classrooms were damaged. He also said that the winds were too strong to the extent of pulling down trees and electric posts and leaving many people displaced. Several houses along the Kenyan coast were damaged and an unknown number of people were displaced on Tuesday, May 21, after the predicted cyclone hit the region. The Red Cross Organization asked residents in the coastal region to take necessary measures to avoid becoming victims of the strong winds. This comes weeks after the Kenya Meteorological Department had earlier announced that Cyclone Hidaya is expected to weaken in the Kenyan Coast. strong winds destroying a roof The Red Cross stated that electric posts in Casuarina, Olimpia, Madunguni in Malindi, and Garashi in Magarini, Kilifi County, fell, while two other posts in Jilore Trading Centre caught fire. Finding Employment Opportunities for Newcomers in the United States

Stepping off a plane in the United States as a newcomer might be exciting, but the job search can quickly become daunting. Many immigrants, such as recently arrived Kenyan women, find that their education and expertise do not easily convert into American positions. Her tale, on the other hand, shows important industries for newcomers to explore, providing a springboard for career development. A potential career path is working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in caregiving, particularly for elderly individuals. Obtaining a CNA certification typically takes around a month and can lead to immediate work opportunities. However, it’s important to note that caregiving requires patience and understanding as you will be assisting older adults with their daily activities at their own pace, some of whom may have dementia. A Kenyan woman found this to be a convenient option, but she also experienced some issues while working with an elderly care service, such as inconsistent transportation since visits often required travel to clients’ homes. As the Kenyan woman realized, it’s crucial to select a career that aligns with your skills and personality. Working in human services, particularly in residential programs or educational settings for young people with mental disorders such as autism, might be a better fit for her. The emphasis turns to aiding teenagers and children with everyday routines, providing encouragement, and advice, and facilitating involvement in various activities. While she recognizes the inherent challenges, she finds it extremely rewarding for those who have a real desire to nurture and encourage people of all abilities. A bonus: human services jobs frequently include advantages such as transportation and meals, making them logistically convenient for newcomers navigating unfamiliar surroundings. The essential takeaway is that immigrants should be willing to pursue numerous entry-level employment, particularly in caregiving and human services. These industries provide valuable experiences that can be translated into future professions. You’ll make relationships, achieve financial security, and, most importantly, learn how to settle in a new nation. The United States, a nation of opportunity for many, welcomes thousands of newcomers each year. Immigrants now account for a sizable section of the population, contributing to the country’s variety. However, for these folks, achieving the American dream is frequently linked to finding a rewarding career. It’s more than just making a living; it’s about establishing themselves, collecting vital experiences, and planting roots. Unfortunately, young immigrants under the age of 30 frequently struggle to fit their skill sets with accessible possibilities. This might result in underemployment or even unemployment, which is frustrating for people willing to contribute. Newcomers interested in starting a profession can look at fields including caregiving and human services. These areas can serve as a good beginning point for them, allowing them to develop the skills and information necessary to pursue their long-term professional aspirations. It’s crucial to remember that obtaining the American dream requires time and perseverance. As a result, adopting deliberate steps is essential for fresh arrivals to discover their way to success.
